Custom metrics (List & Results)
Coming live Q2 2025
Stage settings
In this section, you can select the categories associated with the stages, set general permissions, and define total limits.
Permissions:
Allow participants to enter their own results (In this case, a participant will see a general Add button as well as a + icon in each metric cell within their entry. They will be able to submit results themselves for referee review based on the metric setup.)
If this option is enabled, an additional checkbox will appear labeled Allow attaching media content, allowing participants to upload media.
When media attachment is enabled, you can set an additional rule for submissions:
Allow submission from both gallery and live media
Allow submission from gallery only
Allow submission from live media only
There's also an option for Auto-confirm submitted results. If selected, results will be added to the live standings without requiring referee confirmation. Otherwise, all participant results will first appear under Pending Results and will only be reflected in the live standings after referee approval.
Hide other participants' results from public view. (In this case, a participant will only see their own results, and no one else (publicly) will have access to them.)
If this option is enabled, you can choose from the following options:
Hide all results and media content
Hide only media content
Total Limit:
Each metric can have its own limit for the best results counted. Additionally, a general limit can be set.
For example, if there are three metrics, each with a limit of three best results, but you want to count only the top five overall in the final stage, the system will take all the best metric results, sort them accordingly, and consider only the top five.
Display settings:
For individual or single team/crew formats, everything is straightforward, with only the Individual tab displayed. However, for team competitions—where multiple individuals or crews represent one team—you can also enable the Teams tab, grouping results by team and calculating them based on the configured settings.
If this option is enabled, you need to specify the minimum and maximum team results counted in this section. For example, if you set the minimum to 2, teams with only one individual or crew will be excluded from the list.
You can also set the range from 2 to 2, meaning only the best two results will be counted. Teams with fewer entries will be excluded, while teams with more than two entries will be limited to their two best results.
Metric settings
When adding metrics, you need to select the related categories and stages, define the unit (e.g., cm, cm², m, m², kg, g, times, time (hh:mm:ss), time (mm:ss), time (seconds), pts, none), and optionally add a metric icon (32x32). You can also set an individual metric limit (i.e., if you set it to 3, only the best three results will be counted).
If participant result submission is enabled in the general settings, an additional checkbox will appear in the specific metric settings: Disable results submission by participants. If selected, participants will not be able to submit results for that specific metric.
Submission of results
Results can be entered manually by the tournament team or, if enabled, by participants. This can be done through both the web portal and the mobile app. The submission process follows the stage and metric settings.
Pending results
Results submitted by participants but not yet confirmed will appear in this section. You can view result details, including attached media, and either confirm or decline submissions individually or in bulk. Results submitted by referees are automatically confirmed.
Results history
Results are divided into two tabs: Confirmed and Declined. As with pending results, you can view each result's details, select entries, and adjust their status (Pending, Confirmed, or Declined).
Highlights
The Highlights section in the tournament overview provides result insights. In addition to seeing the winners, you can view the best result for each metric (by stage or overall), identify who made the most attempts, and more. This part of the tournament overview can also be published publicly, either for everyone or participants only.
