Generate Draws from Groups

It is a standard procedure to move teams to the play-offs (draws) after completing the groups based on results. While draws can be created manually, to save significant time, we offer a fully automated option for this process.

To initiate the process, navigate to the top right corner and click the 'Generate Knock-out Draw' button. You will then see two options for generating the draws: fixed (template) and randomized.

Fixed (template) Tab

As mentioned in the title, based on your selection of groups and the number of entries moving to the draw (per group), you will have the option to choose a template. The template itself can be downloaded at the bottom of the modal.

For example: A template with Size 8, 4 Groups, and 2 Entries per group would generate the following draw. It will take specific groups and places and assign them to predefined positions.

Randomized

In the randomized flow, the draw is generated using a standard algorithm, where the first seed is always at the top, the second at the bottom, and the third and fourth are randomly distributed between the top and bottom, continuing in this pattern for subsequent seeds (5th to 8th, and so on).

What differentiates this from the fixed format is that the first seed is not A1, but the team with the most points or the best ratio among all first-place teams from each group. The same applies to other positions. Behind the scenes, the system generates live standings based on placements, points, and ratios, and distributes positions accordingly. In this case, players cannot know their opponents in advance, as each draw generation will create new matchups (apart from the top seeds).
